BEHIND THE LENS

I have always had a passion for photography, frequently working with a camera as a teenager. You could often find me planning photoshoots for my childhood friends or snapping away at school and community events.
For the last several years, I have been working in the travel industry planning unique and special experiences for families visiting the United Kingdom. It finally felt like the right time to pursue my passion for photography as a career, so I took the leap.

Originally from Mississippi, USA, family portrait photography has always been a part of my background. I come from a world where annual Christmas photoshoots, beachfront pictures on family vacation, and sessions for all of life’s many milestones were a must. Now I am thrilled to play my own role in capturing photography for families in Southeast London.

MY STYLE AND APPROACH

We all know that the early years with children will pass in the blink of an eye. That’s where I want to come in, to freeze those sweet moments together so you can enjoy them for years to come.

I enjoy shooting in a natural style that captures your family’s beautiful everyday. I will snap away while your little one is reaching up for you, giggling at something you said, and holding your hand. I will be there to gently guide you through your session, acting silly to make the kiddos laugh and hopefully make you as parents feel relaxed and at ease too.
As a mum of two busy boys who are one and three, I know first hand that little ones can’t be expected to stay still for long. I like to include games like chase and exploring into our session to keep them happy and engaged.

While I will include a few “pose” opportunities, I love to capture the candid moments that make you the unique family you are. We will talk through your hopes for the session ahead of the day, so I can make sure to include a mixture of photos you are looking for.

Thank you for considering me for your next family photoshoot, and please do send a message if you have any questions or are ready to start planning!
